Social Media Video Campaign For Local Business

    We have a client in Oakdale, California near Modesto, who had no Google rankings for his local website.
    After doing a bit of keyword research we found that the best Keyword phrase, one that would attract local clients, is “hearing aids Modesto.” He didn’t rank at all for that keyword phrase.

    We executed a 3-step plan that included:

    • Google Places Program
    o We claimed the page & optimized for rankings
    • Built a new optimized website & video blog
    o Built in lead capture mechanism
    • Video Marketing
    o We shot videos of our client answering the most common questions
    o Positioned him as an authority in his field
    o Distributed the video to many content sharing sites with a link back to his new website

    We launched the campaign in late June 2011. By July 1, one of his videos was on the first page of Google search results for his keyword phrase. On July 4th he got his first call from a visitor to his new website. By July 5 he was appearing on the first page of Goggle in multiple spots and for other long tail keywords.

    Today, he holds 4 spots on the first page of Google search results for his main keyword phrase. He also holds the first, second, seventh and eighth spots, on the first page of Google search results, for an additional long tail keyword. He is now #1 on Google maps in the Oakdale area. And it’s only going to get better.
